Parkway Calls Kathy Itzin to be Next Senior Minister
On May 23, Parkway voted to call Kathy Itzin to be its next senior minister. Kathy was recommended to the congregation by the Pastoral Search Committee as the culmination of a ten month search process. She has her MA in Pastoral Ministry and Social Justice and a Master of Divinity degree. She has been involved in ministry since 1989 and has worked for the past twenty years at St. Joan of Arc Church, where she has served as the Director of Children’s Faith Formation. Kathy and her partner, Carol, have five children: Joe, Annie, P.J., Shauna, and Tim. They live in south Minneapolis.
Kathy has been a member of Mayflower UCC Church. She will be ordained at Mayflower UCC Church, 106 East Diamond Lake Road, Minneapolis, on June 19 at 11 a.m. All members and friends of Parkway are invited to attend. Kathy will begin her work at Parkway on June 15. Her installation service will be held at Parkway on June 20, with a luncheon following the service.
